Biography:  Constable Dan Ramsey is a 39 year police veteran who holds a Master Peace officer License in the State of Texas. He is a graduate from the the Leadership Command College #62, at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Constable Ramsey is also a graduate from the FBINA #256 at Quantico Virginia accredited through the University of Virginia. During his career he has served as a Police Chief in two cities, the City of Taylor and the City of Teague Texas. He has acquired over 4500 hours of training in various areas, with extensive training in criminal Investigation, civil Law , special weapons and tactics, crisis negotiation, Intermediate environmental crime certification and is a certified accident reconstructionist. Constable Ramsey has served with dignity and distinction throughout those 39 years and is dedicated to the County of Freestone and the Great State of Texas.

    Our office works closely with all law enforcement agencies throughout Freestone County,  surrounding counties and the State of Texas on all warrants of arrest.

    This office is dedicated in the enforcement of  the traffic laws throughout this county. This is done with the goal that the  safety of all persons who live and travel within the county is important.

  • The Precinct 2 Constables Office works closely with several different partners including area Constable Offices, the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Environmental Protection Agency with one goal, to combat the illegal dumping of trash, tires, liquids and other solid waste and other environment crimes in Freestone County.
